Kitah Gan-Alef is taught by Morah Lisa Berman and is a wonderful time on Sunday mornings (9:00 a.m.-noon) to have fun with other Jewish kids while beginning to learn a little about the holidays, Torah and Jewish practices through stories, games, activities and songs. The focus is not academic, but to have fun doing Jewish things with other Jewish kids and to begin to be more exposed to Jewish activities and ideas. It is also designed to ease the transition into the more academically oriented (though still enjoyable!) core grades of 2nd through 7th. Check back for teacher updates to this page. |
