The Cemetery Committee oversees Temple Beth El Memorial Park, its care and maintenance, the sale of burial rights, and interment matters.

The Committee devoted much of its time this year to the restoration of damage to the Park following the storm of April 2007. This work included contracting with a landscaper to select and install plantings. These plantings have begun to restore privacy and beauty along Johnson Road. Thanks to Nancy Finberg, Fran Jacobson and others for their ongoing efforts.

The Cemetery Committee continues to work with John Tanguay who performs the opening and closing of graves, the installation of memorial markers, mowing, plowing and other maintenance issues at the Memorial Park.

In 2008 through a focused written communication we launched a successful beautification campaign. We continue to receive many generous donations. These donations fund our ongoing efforts.

The Committee works closely with office staff on the sale of markers and burial rights.
