The Accessions Committee is responsible for making the decisions on which ritual and other items need replacing in the Temple. 

The major accession during 2009-2010 by our committee was the Nir Tamid for the Chapel which was a gift of Eleanor Potter in memory of Newell Potter. It was designed and fabricated by Ed Friedman. We anticipate one other major gift in late May or early June, a new Ark Curtain for the Sanctuary which is a gift of Susan and Jerry Goldberg. We also acquired an Israeli Flag from Linda Abromson in memory of I. Joel Abromson and an American Flag from Lynn and Matthew Goldfarb in honor of their grandchildren.

The rest of our activities have centered on keeping the items we do have in good repair. There are several pending project in our budget for which we are awaiting the carpenter. These include: repairing a plinth for one of the sculptures in the lobby, putting molding on the main lectern in the Sanctuary, adding a rope to hold the Torahs in the Ark in the Small Chapel, and adapting the Tallit racks in the social hall to make them more user friendly.
